High school articulation provides a process to align curriculum and instruction between secondary institutions, primarily between high schools and the community college. High school articulation helps students gain academic knowledge and technical skills for the workplace. These CTE-focused classes lead students to a certificate or an associate degree in a specific career field, and ultimately, to high wage, high skill employment or advanced post-secondary training.

Through high school articulation, students can earn college credit while still in high school. Once a student starts at PCC, they can join our award winning First Year Experience (FYE) program and get access to the classes they need to complete their academic goals.

High schools interested in requesting an articulation agreement from PCC should visit the HS Articulation Request page. 

Students interested in high school articulation should follow the steps below:

  1. Talk to your high school counselor and find out if your school has an articulation agreement with PCC.
  2. Consider your major/career interests and take a course in a career pathway of interest in high school with a "B" grade or better; along with any additional requirements stipulated by the articulation agreement.
  3. If you are in an articulated class at your high school, complete a PCC Application to get a Student ID Number.
