First Year Experience Open House
Our First Year Experience OPEN HOUSE is a chance for new students to visit our campus with friends and family and learn about different programs and services at PCC. During the Open House we also provide workshops where you can complete the steps needed to enroll and visit our Campus Resource Fair.
At our CAMPUS RESOURCE FAIR you can connect with representatives from service centers, empowerment programs, career communities, and other groups so that you start on the right path and learn how to make the most of the amazing opportunities PCC has to offer.
- Our next Open House is Saturday, May 30, 2026. Registration is now open.
- If you have any questions, email us at pathways@pasadena.edu, reach out on Instagram @pcc_pathways, or come to the Pathways FYE center (V100) Monday - Friday | 8am - 5pm.
What to Expect
We will discuss the following topics so that you will understand what to expect during your first year and what steps you need to take to ensure a smooth and productive start at PCC.
We will discuss the difference between Priority Registration and Early Registration and the importance of the Pathways Center and the Pathways program.
To get and keep Priority Registration, you will need to register for JAM, which is our orientation to college. You will also need to register for College 1 within your first year at PCC. We will go over this, and you will have an opportunity to register for JAM during Open House.
College counselors are different than high school counselors. We will go over the
difference between the two so that you will understand exactly who to contact for
support.
