Your Home Away From Home
As International students, adjusting to a new country can be difficult with unfamiliar customs, classroom culture, and language. We are dedicated to helping you with your transition to college in the U.S, with support services and resources.
Pathways FYE Priority Registration
With a priority registration date, more classes will be available. It’s the best way to get the classes you need and the schedule you want!
We highly recommend getting a priority registration date. To make sure you get a registration date that is a couple weeks earlier than other students, make sure you complete the following:
- JAM (FYE orientation)
- Sign up for College 1 during your first semester
International Success Coaches
A big benefit to being an International FYE student at PCC is your access to an International Success Coach. Our Success Coaches are current or recent graduate students and they are dedicated to helping you navigate your way through PCC.
Their main goal is to help you adjust to the culture, as well as the academic, and social expectations of college through time management skills, study strategies, and other techniques. They are also available to answer questions directly or guide you to a person who can best help you.
Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the International Student Pathway.
No. Participation in the International Student Pathway (ISP) program is not required. You can choose not to join, but if you are not a Pathway student, you will not receive the many special benefits of the program, like early registration to get the classes you need to transfer to your dream university as quickly as possible, or support from Pathway coaches, tutors, and instructors.
