Pasadena City College is committed to providing exceptional academic programs, an equity-minded learning community, a campus environment where students are fully engaged in the learning process, and customized student support to meet students where they are. 

PCC's Strategic Plan serves as the primary document to guide planning, decision-making, and resource allocation. Derived from our Mission and aligned with the statewide Vision for Success Goals, PCC’s Strategic Plan drives our transformation into an equity-minded learning community that is closing achievement gaps for all our students.

Through the strategies developed for the following five goals, the college has committed itself to putting students first and at the center of every decision made.

  1. Increase the number of students who earn an Associate Degree, Associate Degree for Transfer, or any credit or noncredit approved award.
  2. Increase the number of students who transfer to a four-year institution.
  3. Decrease the number of units accumulated by students who earn an Associate Degree or an Associate Degree for Transfer.
  4. Increase the median earnings or the number of students who earn the regional living wage after exiting the college.
  5. Close equity and opportunity gaps in the above four goals. 

The Strategic Plan was developed with the guidance of the College’s Strategic Planning Standing Committee and created through a process that brings together all constituent groups of the college: faculty, staff, students, managers, executive leaders, and community members. It has been shared widely over 12 months in campus Town Halls, shared governance meetings, advisory committee meetings and with the Board of Trustees.

It is the document that will guide the college into the future.
