Hixon-Polytechnic Internship Opportunity

About the Internship

Polytechnic School, an independent K-12 school in Pasadena, provides a unique blend of traditional and innovational approaches to teaching the whole child, making it an exceptional place for children to learn and to grow. Every year, the Hixon program and Polytechnic partner up to provide 8 paid internships to PCC students interested in gaining real-world experiences in the classroom and learning with credentialed educators. Interns have an amazing opportunity to work with expert mentor teachers in diverse subjects in grades 2-8 and will observe and experience best teaching and learning practices in elementary and middle school classrooms.

Other Internship Opportunities

In addition to the Polytechnic Schools paid internship, the Hixon Teacher Prep. Program is also proud to partner with other institutions and organizations to provide students with real-world experience and internship opportunities. These internship opportunities typically take place on a volunteer-basis, however, the Hixon TPP provides small scholarship for students who participate and complete a specific hourly requirement.
