Academic Renewal is a process to disregard a student's previously recorded substandard academic performance when such work does not reflect their current demonstrated ability. Academic Renewal encourages students to continue their efforts toward their educational objectives when the weight of previously recorded substandard work would otherwise make the achievement of those objectives unlikely. Academic Renewal will not remove courses from the transcript but, once approved, those grades will not count toward the GPA.
