Registered Nursing is among the top 10 occupations with the largest job growth (Bureau of Labor Statistics). RNs are responsible for providing and coordinating patient care. In doing so, they are typically responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing a nursing care plan, and maintaining medical records. They are also trained to give patients advice on health maintenance and disease prevention. As an RN, you will be able to seek employment in hospitals, clinics, private physicians' offices, and skilled nursing in extended and long-term care facilities. A career field of Registered Nursing is:

  • a profession which offers challenges and satisfaction for anyone who likes to work with people
  • a dynamic profession, always progressing with newer concepts, techniques and solutions
  • a creative profession; as nursing is an art, innovative in its interventions for the comfort and welfare of its patients.
