The majority of College 1 students are first semester college students who are learning how to navigate a different set of rules and expectations than they experienced in high school. Because College 1 is a rigorous, open-access course students enter with varying degrees of academic and personal preparedness for the course and college life. As the College 1 Model Curriculum is housed in Canvas, familiarity with Canvas is recommended for all College 1 instructors.
